Gaels Force
Today I took on not one but two Queen’s University sporting events that were taking place right here in Kingston,… no travel required! First, it was the CIS National Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Running Championship, which took place at Fort Henry. Although the runners from Queen’s did not place on the podium in either the men’s or women’s event, the runners I saw and photographed left nothing on the field.
I then made a quick trip across town to Richardson Stadium for the Yates Cup game between Queen’s and the University of Western. Although Western battled back from a deficit to tie the game during the 3 quarter, Queen’s was able to hold off the offensive attack and capture the win and the hardware in front of an amazing crowd.
